- Lauren Marie was born and raised in White Plains, New York. Her passion for songwriting and singing came about at the early age of 14. Laurens melodies and songs are what kept her grounded and from walking down the wrong path of life at such a young age. My appreciation and love for music holds no boundaries. (LM)
Music was my alternate reality, says Lauren. I was involved with everything ranging from high school ensembles, chorus, talent shows, and all the simple things like singing over guys beatboxing in the park. It wasn't until the age of 20 that she decided to put her music into action. Just a dream and determination is all she had to go on.
Lauren Marie had collaborated with a DJ/Producer/Remixer, Frank Pellegrino. Frank was "looking to work with a good vocalist at the time and there I was. Their collaboration of great songs and solid production became known in different clubs in the NY tri-state area, which lead to performances, club bookings, and her tracks to be signed.
Lauren has performed at some of the most sought-after venues in the NY-Tri State area such as; Deep, Star, Spirit, Club Mor,Dublins, Pearl, and Exit, DNA, Pure, Jones beach,Evolution and more. Thanksgiving Eve of 2003, at her performance at Exit, Lauren opened up for known artists; Kelis, D-Block.
In the winter of 2005 Lauren signed two of her tracks. Her first single released on Liquid Music is called "Luva-Lust". Her second single called "My Heart" was released in July of 2005 on Miswax records, making for a wonderful summer anthem with remixes by Dom Capello, Peter D'Caro, and Soundejour. Lauren Maries My Heart has debuted on New Yorks Number One dance station KTUs 103.5 on the Riddlers show, 104.7, Sirius and XM Satellite radio, and much more. We look foward to seeing big things from Lauren Marie in the year 2006 as she has collaborations with known producers such as Frank Pellegrino, Johnny Vicious, Dezrok and more.
For me the dream is not about money or fame, it's all about being appreciated, heard, and understood. You go through obstacles in life and sometimes you meet people who inspire you by their life experiences. Where there is negative you must find positive and move foward. Every successful person has a story"!
