I am a Black Cherokee, family comes from Georgia, I'm proud to be a Geechee, (African/Indian). I play in the beginners stage, De'Jembe, COnga, and I flow with my Shaeker(spelling)
Newark, New Jersey..Heritige is Black Cherokee/and Cuban..Getting in touch with my Cuban side is what I've been doing for the past 4yrs.. I guess that's one of the reasons why I love to play the Conga and the Jembe.."It's the FLavor that drives me wild"

Born 3-19-1953 Margaret Beverly Williams, to John & Edith, she goes by the name of Beh to family and Beverly to friends... Likewater to the dance world... and Mommy to her kids..

Since the age of 9 Beverly has been dancing, she started in grammar school. Her gym teacher would make them put tap studs on the tips and heels of their white pumpkin seed sneakers, tap class was everyday after school, the class was mainly girls... but if you look around the gym... there were boys enjoying the noise, As Beverly grow her mother taught her a lot of different dance styles, who was well versed in all forms of dance herself.. Every Saturday morning Moms would turn on the stereo put on the 45’s or some Jazz music and their home would be full of Musical joy... loudly playing as they cleaned house...
Beverly was taught Swing, Ballroom, Belly Dance, Jive and also jazz, she also was given poise and posture classes by her mother... You see, when she was growing up in Newark back in the early 1960’s it was hard to send 2 young girls to dance and poise school... so her Mom did all the teaching herself.. from that Beverly started modeling In various fashion shows, was the fashion coordinator for the Essex County College International Fashion Club, she has been a commentator for functional events and Weddings, all of these ventures were good for Beverly but she felt that something was missing in her creative life.. And that was the love for dance...

She has performed in the Sea Island Festival in Brunswick Georgia, last year and danced for Mr. Eugene Armstrong (percussionist, dancer, and chorographer) they did 4 shows while there. Eugene has taught Beverly various African dance moves to incorporate in her style of dance to him she is grateful...

Today Beverly is doing Theatrical and Lyrical dance for her cousin Koffee(thestoryteller)... the connection of these women is great... they vibe off of each other... not to be missed if ever they are performing in your area...
Today Beverly Jackson has started her own underground Party called Fluid (The Likewater Movement), she is still doing her style of danced upon request..

The group Coffee has done several performances in and around East Orange NJ, Newark NJ, and New York; she dances for special occasions and for Pleasure at weekly and monthly parties around the metropolitan area...

Dancing is an expression of feelings of the words sung to the music... a Passion of oneself in movement...to Dance.. to Feel.. It’s a Body Thing a Mind Thing..

Negative Energy causes stress, Ulcers and Lonliness..

Love is the Key of Life.. Passion and Strength..
Positive Energy keeps inside the body well of sickness, gives you a purpose in Life, Love Yourself first.. this way you will know how to love someone else..

From the inside Out I always say... How you feel on the inside will show on the outside..

Learning as I move forward..
Count My Blessings and Being Greatful for the things that I have and accomplished.. Still moving foward to keep my life in balance..

Everyday in our life we have new beginnings, some are bad some are good, some have us wondering and others are Just.. It's learning how to fit them in is the way we seek..Never be afraid of Your lifes new beginnings..
